IP grade of rain test equipment
The following waterproof grades refer to international applicable standards such as IEC 60529, GB 4208, GB / T 10485-2007, DIN 40050-9, ISO 20653, ISO 16750, etc
1. Scope: the waterproof test includes the second characteristic number of 1 to 8, i.e. the protection grade code is ipx1 to ipx8.

(1) IPX1
Method name: vertical dripping test
Test equipment: drip test device and test method
Sample placement: place the sample on the rotating sample table of 1R / min according to the normal working position of the sample, and the distance from the top of the sample to the water drip shall not be more than 200mm
Test conditions: water dripping amount is 1.0 + 0.5mm/min
Test duration: 10min
(2) IPX2

Test equipment: drip test device and test method
Sample placement: make one of the samples form an angle of 15 ° with the vertical line, and the distance from the top of the sample to the water drip shall not be more than 20 mm. After each test, change another surface for four times
Test conditions: water dripping amount is 3.0 + 0.5mm/min
Test duration: 4 * 2.5min, 10min in in total
(3) IPX3
Method name: rain test (rain test equipment)
A. water spray test with swing tube
Test equipment: swing tube water splashing test
Sample placement: select a swing tube with appropriate radius to make the height of the sample table top on the swing tube diameter. Place the sample on the sample table so that the distance from its top to the sample water nozzle is not more than 200 mm, and the sample table does not rotate.
Test conditions: the water spray quantity of water flow near the swing pipe is also calculated, and each is 0.07l/min. When pouring water, spray water from the spray holes in the 60 ° arc section on both sides of the central point of the pipe to the sample. Place the sample in the semicircle center of the pendulum tube. The swing pipe swings 60 ° along both sides of the vertical line, 120 ° in total. Each swing (2 × 120 °) is about 4 s.
Test pressure: 400kPa
Test time: continuous watering for 10min; sample rotation 90 ° after 5min
B. sprinkler type water spray test
Test equipment: hand-held splash test device,
Sample placement: make the parallel distance between the top of the test and the nozzle of the hand-held nozzle between 300 mm and 500 mm
Test conditions: the baffle with balance weight shall be installed during the test, and the water flow shall be 10L / min
Test time: calculated according to the surface area of the shell of the tested sample, 1min per square meter (excluding the installation area), 5min at least.
(4) ipx4k (rain test equipment)
Test Name: pressure swing pipe rain test
Test equipment: pendulum type rain test
Sample placement: select a swing tube with appropriate radius to make the height of the sample table top at the position of the swing tube diameter. Place the sample on the sample table so that the distance from the top to the sample nozzle is not more than 20 mm, and the sample table does not rotate.
Test conditions: the water flow is calculated according to the number of spray holes of the swing pipe, and each hole is 0.6 ± 0.5l/min. The spray area is the spray water from the spray holes in the 90 ° arc section on both sides of the middle point of the pendulum tube to the sample. Place the sample in the semicircle center of the pendulum tube. The pendulum tube swings 180 ° along both sides of the vertical line, about 360 ° in total. Each swing (2 × 360 °) is about 12s.
Test pressure: 400kPa

B. sprinkler type splash test
Test equipment: hand-held water splashing test device
Sample placement: the baffle with counterweight installed on the equipment shall be removed so that the parallel distance from the top of the test to the nozzle of the hand-held nozzle is between 300 mm and 500 mm
Test conditions: the baffle with balance weight shall be installed during the test, and the water flow shall be 10L / min
Test time: calculated according to the surface area of the shell of the sample to be tested, 1min per square meter (excluding the installation area) for at least 5min.
(5) IPX5
Method name: water spray test
Test equipment: the inner diameter of spray nozzle is 6.3mm
Test conditions: the distance between the test sample and the water spray port is 2.5-3M, and the water flow rate is 12.5l/min (750L / h);
Test time: calculated according to the surface area of the shell of the sample to be tested, 1min per square meter (excluding the installation area) for at least 3min.
(6) IPX6
Method name: strong water spray test;
Test equipment: the inner diameter of spray nozzle is 12.5mm;
Test conditions: the distance between the test sample and the water jet is 2.5-3M, and the water flow is 100L / min (6000l / h);
Test time: calculated according to the surface area of the shell of the sample to be tested, 1min per square meter (excluding the installation area) for at least 3min.
(7) IPX7
Method name: short time immersion test;
Test equipment: immersion tank.
Test conditions: the size shall be such that the distance from the bottom of the sample to the water surface shall be at least 1 m after the sample is put into the immersion tank. The distance from the top of the sample to the water surface shall be at least 0.15m. Test time: 30min.
(8) IPX8
Method name: continuous diving test;
Test conditions and test time of test equipment: it shall be agreed by the buyer and the seller, and its severity shall be higher than ipx7.
(9) IPX9
Method name: high pressure jet test
Test equipment: the inner diameter of spray nozzle is 12.5mm;
Test conditions: spray angle: 0 °, 30 °, 60 °, 90 ° (4 positions); number of spray holes: 4; rotation speed of sample table: 5 ± 1R. P.m; distance: 100-150 mm, 30 seconds for each position; flow: 14-16 L / min, spray pressure: 8000-10000 kPa, water temperature: 80 ± 5 ℃
Test time: 30 s × 4 for each position, 120 s in total
